Order information

At Mercane Electric Scooters we want to make sure that buying a scooter is as easy and convenient as possible. We offer a range of personal electric scooters with Australia-wide delivery and premium customer service, so you can get your dream scooter wherever you are. 

Ordering from us couldn’t be simpler: just choose the model that suits you best and place your order online or by phone. Our team will take care of the rest, including processing payment and arranging delivery to your door.

Shipping of all eScooters within Australia is free.

To track your delivery, please click ‘View your order’ on your confirmation email and ensure you have selected to receive emails or SMS.

Once we have shipped your order, you can also come back to this email, click ‘View your order’ and your tracking number will be updated and displayed.

Deliveries are dispatched by our logistics team several times a week. Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. Remote locations may take several weeks to arrive. Once you have ordered, we will immediately email you an order confirmation, and then within 2-5 business days will email you with an update on your estimated time of arrival of your purchase. 

Mercane scooters will endeavour to contact you to advise of any delays regarding your item(s) and work with you on an agreed outcome.

Change of Mind

You may return an item within 3 days from receipt of delivery or pick up, providing it is unused and in its original condition within the unopened box or carton. 

Once we have received and inspected your returned item(s), we will contact you to complete the returns process.

Faulty Products

In order to file a warranty claim for a faulty product, we will need:

– Clear photographs of the product from different angles (e.g., front and back sides)

– A video explaining or showing the issue

– A photograph of the shipping label and original packaging 

Our team will inspect your returned item as soon as possible to determine whether the supplier is at fault. If they are, we will let you know and begin working on repairing or replacing the broken part/scooter. If a repair or replacement is not possible, we may be able to offer a refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law guidelines.

Please note that you will have to cover the shipping costs for any returned items yourself. We do not refund shipping costs. If you are eligible for a refund, please be advised that the return shipping fee will be deducted from the total amount due.

The time it takes for an exchanged product to arrive may depend on your location.

 Refunds are completed by EFT payment only.

Note that some financial institutions can take up to 7 business days to facilitate a refunded transfer of funds.

Electric scooter rules on public roads vary across Australia’s states and territories. Ensure you check with your road traffic authority about local scooter laws before you ride on the road. 

Electric scooters are generally allowed on private property in Australia.

While Mercane wide wheel electric scooters can get up to 70kph on private property, in Queensland, scooters are restricted to 25kph for pedestrian and vehicle safety.
Most models are 100 kg or 120kg. Keep in mind that the lighter your load, the less power your scooter consumes.

At Mercane Electric Scooters, we are dedicated to providing our customers with the safest possible riding experience. As such, we strongly encourage all riders to wear appropriate safety gear such as helmets and gloves at all times while riding their electric scooter. Additionally, it is important to familiarise yourself with local laws and regulations before taking your scooter out on the road

In order to stay safe when riding your electric scooter, it is important to always your state or territory’s road laws, including:

  • Obey traffic signs and signals
  • Follow speed limits at all times
  • Never use your phone while riding
  • Always wear a helmet and other protective gear while riding  

You are solely responsible and liable for violation of any laws, rules, regulations, and/or ordinances whilst riding your e-scooter.

You are also liable for any and all consequences, claims, demands, causes of action, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses, penalties, lawyers’ fees, judgements, fees and/or disbursements of any kind or nature whatsoever, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, and whether known or unknown, as a result of your actions whilst riding any e-scooter bought from Mercane scooters.

You must wear a helmet that meets the AS/NZS 2063:2008 standard certification (“Permitted Helmet”) as varied by federal regulation and at all times while riding Mercane Scooters e-scooters, whether required by law or not.

Please be aware that there is a chance of sustaining injuries, including fatal ones, when operating an e-scooter from Mercane Scooters. This can include falling off the scooter, running into obstacles, or driving on difficult terrain; generally, any action which may cause you to fall off the scooter and injure yourself. If you have pre-existing health conditions it’s important to note that these could also be aggravated by riding an e-scooter.

By reading and acknowledging this, you are aware of the potential risks associated with e-scooters. By agreeing to these terms, you relieve Mercane scooters from any legal liability.
